The TS 500i STIHL cut-off saw stands out for its  STIHL injection system which is a fuel injection controlled by an electronic calculator. Equipped with 350 mm cutting wheels. It is a STIHL exclusivity and a world premiere for this cut-off saw. As a result, a powerful engine in view of its displacement (3,9 kW for 72,2 cm3), a consumption reduction, a very low vibration level and a simplified start-up procedure. In order to offer maximum comfort, safety and reliability, this cut-off saw integrates the automatic watering system which already supplies  TS 410A and TS 420A.

The STIHL electronically controlled fuel injection ensures a perfect running and reduces fuel consumption in comparison with tools unequipped of this technology.

  • STIHL ElastoStart

STIHL ElastoStart reduces shocks caused by the compression of the engine during starting which have an impact on the joints and muscles of its user. ElastoStart ensures a smooth start thanks to a spring and rubber elements in the starter handle.

  • Long term air filter (Cyclon)

The long term air filter system with cyclonic pre-filtration doubles its duration of use compared with the usual filtering systems. Moreover, it permits to extend  maintenance intervals.

  • Semi automatic drive belt tensioning

  • Anti-vibration system

The anti-vibration system (AV) is used on cut saw. The rubber cushioning or spring absorb and reduce disturbing vibrations from the engine and cutting device in rotation. Vibrations transmission at the handles are then very low.  More convenient way of working and less tiring.

  • Water supply

The water supply permits to supply water for the cutting wheel and eliminate the dust produced during cutting. It is supplied to the device in such a way so as not to interfere with your work.

  •  Automatic watering system

The STIHL  automatic watering system permits to dose precisely the water flow useful for cutting and save water. Hence, your water tank has a greater autonomy. With a simple use,  pilot control, the buttons “more” and “less” permit to adjust the flow according to the disk load at anytime. Automatic, the water flow is cut at idle speed or at engine shutdown.

  • Ergonomic grip position

 Optimal grip position. The loop handle facilitates excellent cutting comfort in any working position.

  • Priming pump

It can power, by a simple press of the thumb, the carburetor in fuel. It also reduces, when starting up, the number of pulls on the rope after  long periods of non-use.

  • Magnesium guard

The cutting wheel guard made from die-cast magnesium is particularly light. The guard and water attachment confer a particularly ergonomic design.

  • Stratified scavenging engine

At the entrance, a clean air layer, without fuel, fits between burnt gases in the combustion chamber and the fresh mixture from the bottom-engine. It reduces fuel-air mixture losses during scavenging – and it also reduces harmful effects on human health and the environment. The engine is environmentally friendly and reduces its consumption by 20%.  Gas emissions are reduced by 50%.
